One Achord

One Achord is a Gospel Music Ministry which has one goal: To tell others about The Gift of Eternal Life which God has offered to every person. One Achord uses music and personal testimony to acheive that goal.

One Achord sings a wide variety of musical styles in order to have something that appeals to young and old alike. These styles include accapella, Southern Gospel, Contemporary and Traditional.

One Achord was formed in 1989 to sing accapella music with the goal of lifting up the name of Christ, not the name of One Achord. Of the original five members, two remain: Bill Eldridge and Gary Wolfer. Brian Fry began singing with One Achord in 1991 and began in Neal Buller in 1993. In 1995, Ty Hittenberger was added as a sound engineer and in 1997, Brian Hartman began singing with the group.

The original focus of One Achord was to sing only accapella arrangements, but always using unique arrangements to allow for a wide variety of musical styles.. After several years, it was decided to add keyboards and other instruments to further expand the array of musical styles possible. Today, One Achord uses keyboards, guitars and

midi accompanyment with styles including Southern Gospel, Traditional, Light Contemporary and Praise Music. However, all arrangements are original and have the unique "One Achord" style of smooth, tight vocals and rich harmonies

In 1994, One Achord made their first recording, "His Love is Real". This project is half accapella and half non-accapella. It features four original compositions as well as a number of old favorites done with unique arrangements written specifically for One Achord.

In November of 1997, One Achord released their newest recording, "Headed in the Right Direction". It is also a mix of different musical styles. For a more detailed description of each of these projects, see the "Recordings" page.
